Joel D. Eaton, Esq.
Joel studied history and philosophy at the University of Minnesota and graduated with high distinction from the University of Iowa law school. After law school, Joel joined the Air Force and served as an officer in the JAG Corps. On active duty, Joel served as a prosecutor in military cases and later became an Area Defense Counsel, defending servicemembers who were accused of crimes under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Through his work as a military defense attorney, Joel recognized that he enjoyed working with people in this capacity, and that he was excited about being an advocate for individuals in court.
After leaving active duty, Joel returned to Minnesota and has been in private practice in Owatonna, Minnesota since 2009. Joel has extensive trial experience in representing juveniles and adults charged with crimes in Minnesota state district courts. He is involved in the Steele County Bar Association and is active in other community organizations.
